Silver, natural horsetail and handmade paper.

250 gr

Necklace inspired by the Comca'ac cosmogony of the Seri ethnic group, located in northern Mexico. Coohaamc is the name of the constellation that represents the woman, made up of 12 stars that appear in the sky on June 1  presaging the rains, the ancestors went to live in the caves to take refuge from the rains because they had no houses.

The collar caves represent  the twelve stars of the constellation, three of them, made of silver forged, drawn and textured by hand. The Seris have three sacred caves, that is why three are made of silver, the rest are made of cotton paper molded by hand. The fabric is made with a horse tail. Inside each silver cave are sage leaves, such as are required to enter the sacred caves.
